The National Federation of the Deaf Nepal (NDFN) was established in 1995 as a national-level umbrella organization of deaf citizens in Nepal. NDFN works to promote the rights of individuals with hearing impairments, including those who are Deaf, Deafblind, and those with complex disabilities. Currently, NDFN is implementing the project "Strengthening Inclusive Education Systems and Services in Nepal" in partnership with Sense International. This project is being implemented in Bharatpur Metropolitan City and Kalika Municipality of Chitwan.
NDFN invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from external consultants or companies to develop a school enrollment video for children with complex disabilities and deafblindness.

Background of the Project:
Deafblindness and complex disabilities are relatively new issues in Nepal’s disability sector. Very few organizations are actively working in this field. Education for children with deafblindness and complex disabilities is still in its infancy, and their educational rights are yet to be fully realized. To address this gap, NDFN, in partnership with Sense International under the Disability and Inclusive Development program, is working in Bharatpur Metropolitan and Kalika Municipality of Nepal.
The overall objective of this project is to provide quality and inclusive education to children with deafblindness and complex disabilities through home-based education, resource class strengthening, and teacher training. Awareness is a major component of the intervention to ensure these children have access to education. Two resource classes have already been established, and NDFN is initiating home-based education in Chitwan (Bharatpur and Kalika Municipality). The organization is also working to raise awareness about risks and violence among parents, children, staff, and other stakeholders.
Job Description/Task:
NDFN seeks a consultant to develop video materials to raise awareness among parents, staff, children, and other stakeholders about school enrollment video for children with complex disabilities and deafblindness to Increase Enrollment of Children with Complex Disabilities in School. The consultant must ensure that the video includes sign language interpretation, captions, and audio descriptions to make it fully accessible.
