Paragraph 5 Section 16 of the Disability Rights Rules 2077 provides free education to deaf citizens. The Government of Nepal has made arrangements for the deaf children to get free accommodation in special schools, including residential scholarships. Similarly, free technical and vocational education has also been provided to the deaf citizens. Under the current arrangement, residential scholarships are available at the rate of Rs. 4,000 per month.
