Legal provisions

Persons with disabilities shall have the right to access information through public media on the basis of disability-friendly and accessible information.
The electronic broadcasting organization of public communication shall conduct news and other programs in sign language in the number prescribed by the Government of Nepal.
Persons with disabilities shall have the right to access information intended for the general public in an accessible format and technology without additional fees or charges.
Telephone and Internet communication service providers shall provide the services they provide within the period specified by the Government of Nepal in an accessible format and accessible to persons with disabilities. (Disability Rights N 2074 and Physical and Communication Services Guideline 2069)
