Article 31.4 of the Constitution of Nepal, 2072 BS, deals with the right to education. Citizens with deafness and voice or speech disability shall have the right to receive free education through sign language in accordance with the law.
The Government of Nepal will provide scholarships to the children of deaf people to pursue their undergraduate education in the country.
The children of deaf citizens who want to get the scholarship will have to submit the documents including proof of enrollment in the concerned educational institution, recommendation of the concerned local level, copy of identity card and proof of relationship and recommendation of deprivation.
