Purchasing of Wheelchairs<\/p>\n

Introduction:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The National Federation of the Deaf Nepal (NDFN) is a national-level umbrella organization established in 1995 to advocate for the rights of people with hearing impairments, including Deaf, Deafblind, and others with complex disabilities. NDFN is planning to distribute wheelchairs for the beneficiaries of the project \u201cDID TO53- Inclusive education project\u201d supported by Sense International UK. For the distribution of the wheelchair, a technical assessment has already been completed. Hereby, NDFN invites open call Expressions of Interest (EOI) from external vendors\/companies\/related service providers for purchasing the wheelchair based on the specifications and standards given.<\/p>\n

Scope of Work:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The project requires 18 numbers<\/strong> of wheelchairs as per the specifications and standards below:<\/p>\n

Specification and standard of the wheelchair<\/u><\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 Adjustable seat depth, footrest height and angle, backrest height and angle to provide a customized fit.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Foldable for ease of storage and transportation.
\nMedium sized castor wheels to help maneuver over uneven terrain.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Extra thick inner tubes to reduce the risk of punctures.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Tension adjustable fabric seat upholstery for comfort and postural support.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Choice of safe or active rear wheel positions.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Available pre-assembled or can be re-adjusted to four-seat widths.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Designed to provide at least five years of service during normal use, providing it is appropriately maintained.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Safe or active rear wheel position<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Comes with pressure relieving cushion<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Pressure relief cushion<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Certification: ISO\/CE certified<\/td>\n

Wheelchairs of the mentioned specification or similar specifications without compromise in quality and standard are accepted.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The scope of work includes:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Making available the wheelchair as per the above information.<\/li>\n
  2. Transportation of the wheelchair to Chitwan<\/li>\n
  3. Quality standards must be maintained during the entire process.<\/li>\n
  4. Make availability of the spare parts and technical person for the maintenance.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Timeline: <\/strong><\/p>\n

    The entire work should be completed within 30 to 45 days of the date of agreement.<\/p>\n
